DANAOS Shipping Co. Ltd, in cooperation with the Experiential Education from the Scouts, informs and sensitizes, children from the “Hellenic Association fighting Juvenile Diabetes” and the “Hatzipaterio Institute K.A.S.P.” about recycling.
 
On April 29, 2012, at the Scouts Experiential Education Center in Ilion, 25 children with their parents and tutors from the “Hellenic Association Fighting Juvenile Diabetes”, participated in interactive activities related to “Recycling”. The purpose of the program was to
Enhance the children’s’ environmental awareness and introduce them to the natural resources utilized by them during their daily activities.
 
The children, parents and coordinators from all agencies (S.E.P., PEAND, and DANAOS), felt exhilarated after the beautiful experience they had and from the useful information they learned during the program.
 
At the Hatzipaterio Institute:
 
On May 2, 2012, experienced puppeteers, in coordination with Mrs. Despoina Xasilidi, the representative of the Scouts Experiential Education Center, visited 25 children at the Hatzipaterio Institute (K.A.S.P).
(Spastic Children Rehabilitation Center) and together with their capable and welcoming staff implemented part of the program adapted to the specificities of the children at the Institute.
 
The children’s pleasant smiles and great willingness for participation will forever remain in the hearts of all who were there that day.
