Six months ago, almost half way through the 2012 Greek Shipping Soccer league year, Danaos was in first place, with 5 wins, 1 loss and a goal average of 34 – 14.The scene in the upper ranks of the League has not changed a lot since then; the “Blues” remain the top favorite for this year’s title, with +2 points from the 2011 Champion N.O.A., three matches left to go.Whilst this article is being written, the Danaos Blues are concentrating on their strategy in order to defeat the difficult Greek Coast Guard team (PSC) in two of the most important matches of the season (one match from the second round & one match pending from the first). The PSC players, are fighting for second place (what they truly desire though is the highly coveted first place), our task therefore will not be an easy one, but the Blues will give their best performance in order to pass without “deficiencies” and bring the trophy back to Danaos for the first time since the commencement of the Shipping Soccer League in 2003.Considering the recent results in the UEFA Champions League Final, it seems that 2012 will be a Blue year..!
